Who sees your bank statements and your data?
Your statements are read by a person on our team, then presented only to the lenders you authorize. Each lender then handles your information under its own privacy policy, and decides alone.

- Who sees my bank statements?
- Our team, where a person reads every file, then the commercial lenders you authorize, and never those you exclude. Service providers also process your information on our behalf, for hosting the site and for email.
- How do I know which lenders may receive my file?
- The list is published on our site; for now, it shows categories of lenders rather than names. Your authorization, in a box that is never ticked in advance, covers the lenders on that list, except those you exclude.
- How long do you keep my statements?
- Only as long as needed to handle your application and meet our legal obligations; then we destroy them. Our site keeps no database of applications.
- Does my information leave Québec?
- It may be processed or kept outside Québec, by our service providers. The lenders you authorize may also be located elsewhere in Canada.
- Can I withdraw my authorization?
- Yes, at any time, by writing to info@capitalfacile.ca. The withdrawal applies going forward: what has already been sent to a lender is handled under that lender’s policy.
What the lender looks at
- Actual deposits, month by month
- It is what the lender reads first in the statements you authorize it to receive.
- Days in overdraft
- A statement also shows the balances, where the lender reads the time spent below zero.
- NSF cheques
- Returned payments appear in the statements that are sent.
- Payments to other lenders
- Repayments to other lenders show in the account’s transactions.
